About Oakring

Oakring Stud and Performance Horses  is an exclusively small set up with a professional yet relaxed working environment. The yard is home to international event rider Sam York and is suitable for horses of all temperament. Horses tend to settle quickly after arrival and feel at ease at Oakring; giving owners the confidence they need to know their horses will receive quality care as well as high level training and schooling.

Facilities at Oakring

This calm competition yard consists of stabling which is built with horses well being as the most important priority; they feature open socialising bars and adjoining playpens. There is a horse walker on site and individual paddocks which are double fenced for additional protection and safety.

Oakring is home to a 20 x 40 flood lit arena with fibre sand and rubber surface which is workable all year round. Further Oakring features a 20 x 60 grass arena for long arena practice.

Oakring is situated on the edge of a rural village with a direct bridle path leading to an extensive network of off road riding, grass tracks and super uphill grass gallops. These excellent local networks make a super base for producing young horses and training advanced competition horses.

Sam’s residence is situated directly in the middle of the yard providing added security and around the clock on site supervision and observation.
